“Bat Art Contest” for Kids through the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery

It’s that ghoulish time of year and the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is getting into the spirit of Halloween with their “Bat Art Contest” for kids.  Use your creativity to draw, paint, or make a bat or bats for their contest and possibly win your very own bat house!

Why bats?  Bats don’t just “hang around” for Halloween – they hang out all year long. With more than 1400 different species in the world, bats play an important role in our environment.

And because this is a S.C.R.A.P. Gallery art contest, the idea is to use recycled materials to create your bat art.  Best of all, if you are lacking recycled materials, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery has you covered with free Bat Bags filled with all kinds of supplies to get your creative juices flowing.  Stop by S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, 68743 Perez Road D-16, Cathedral City, every Monday in October from 8 am to 5 pm to get your free bat bag, curbside.  Look for the Bat Bag box of goodies.

The deadline to enter the Bat Art Contest is October 29, 2020.  For more information, go to www.SCRAPGallery.org.
