Business in Cathedral City Continues Its Strong Trajectory

Great strides were made in 2017 to fill vacant commercial spaces that have been noticeable in Cathedral City since the Great Recession and its immediate downturn in the economy as well as the ever-changing habits of shoppers from brick and mortar shopping to more online shopping. Big box stores and indoor shopping malls are no longer desirable to many consumers.

The City has been working to address these changes in the market place and recruit new businesses to fill these spaces. In 2017, more than 300 new business licenses were activated in Cathedral City. Here is a list of the better known business:
