Esser Air Conditioning and Heating Honored for Its Generosity

The Cathedral City Council recognized Tim and Mike Esser, owners of Esser Air Conditioning and Heating, headquartered in Cathedral City, at the June 27, 2017 council meeting for their generosity in helping a local senior resident.

On Sunday, June 18, 2017 (Father’s Day), Cathedral City firefighter/paramedics were dispatched to a medical emergency where they found an elderly gentleman living in a home without a properly working air conditioner. The senior’s son stated the family’s current financial situation prevented them from making the repairs in order to cool their home.

Upon the firefighters’ return to the fire station, they contacted Esser Air Conditioning and Heating knowing that the company has technicians available every day. The firefighters stated that they would pay for any repairs necessary to cool the home. Esser sent a technician out to the house that day and made the repairs within a few hours. The technician, Larry Fussell, called the firefighters to let them know that the repairs had been completed and the house was cooling. Mr. Fussell also stated that once Tim and Mike Esser heard about the situation, they decided to cover the entire expense and gave the family, and in particular this gentleman, a nice Father’s Day gift – a cool home.

The City Council thanked Captain Williams, Engineer Pike, Firefighters Porto and Valenti who went above and beyond to assist one of Cathedral City’s residents. Their true professionalism and commitment to our community was clearly demonstrated. The City Council also honored Tim and Mike Esser for their generosity in helping a fellow Cathedral City resident.
