Get Ready for the Health Fair and Health Glo 5K/1M Fun Run Walk – Cathedral City, February 28, 2015
HEALTH GLO 5K/1M FUN RUN-WALK event, taking place on February 28, 2015, in conjunction with the Cathedral City Rotary Health Fair. Produced by the Foundation for the Palm Springs Unified School District, the run/walk event is a way for the community to celebrate the fact that exercise optimizes learning, and to support our students and classrooms. Admission to the Health Fair is free, and the modest fee for the run/walk event is scaled for both 5K and 1M participants.
Cathedral City Rotary’s Health Fair runs from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Health Fair will feature health screenings, education, exercise demonstrations, health and community resources, and the popular addition of healthy food trucks that will help participants understand the ways in which eating smarter and moving more are “two sides of the coin” of healthy lifestyles.
PSUSD organizers are expecting 1,000 runners and walkers, and the event is being widely marketed by the Palm Springs Unified School District, Cathedral City Rotary, City of Cathedral City, Humana Healthcare, Salvation Army, Shared Kitchen and other community based organizations and media outlets participating in the production of the event.
