Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for Two New Projects in Cathedral City

The City Council was busy on Tuesday, December 4th as two new projects held milestone ceremonies.  First, was the groundbreaking ceremony of the new “District East” housing development adjacent to the sold-out “The District at the Edge” community in southern Cathedral City behind Target and Trader Joe’s.  “District East” consists of 45 single and two story single family homes designed with an urban twist.  The gated community amenities include community pool and spa, gym, Yoga park, and pet park.  Many of the homes will be built with their own private pools and spas.  The homes range in size from 1,777 to 2,226 square feet and prices start in the mid-$600K.  If you want modern sophistication, convenience of nearby shopping and restaurants, beautiful views, and easy access to anywhere in the Coachella Valley, then this is the place to consider.   http://districtattheedge.com/

Later that afternoon, the Council held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Runway Restaurant (Dining, Drinks, & Drag) located outside of the CCBC Resort Hotel.  This tastefully decorated full service restaurant and bar caters to all communities who value diversity and features their own twist on American grill entrées.

The Runway was packed with onlookers as they praised owners Richard, and his son, Eric Altman for the quality of the interior, the delicious food, and high-end beverage choices.  Famed singer Keisha D belted out wonderful ballads to the adoring crowd.  At the ribbon cutting, Richard and Eric thanked the City for its assistance with the planning and building process.
