Join Team Cathedral City for the United Way of the Desert’s Wellness Challenge

Cathedral City won first place last year for the City Team Challenge and we need your help to keep this title! Join Team Cathedral City and participate in the Nine Cities Wellness Challenge 2017 taking place here in the Coachella Valley. We work as a team to get up, get active, and get fit and healthy – all while having fun!

You may have heard about one aspect of the Challenge—the Nine Weekly Saturday Walks scheduled between Aug 26 and Oct 21, in preparation for the Tram Road Challenge 6K Run/Walk. The Challenge is organized by United Way of the Desert. (You can go to www.unitedwayofthedesert.org and the top of the opening page is a link to more information about the 9 Walks.)

The Walk in Cathedral City takes place on Saturday, September 2nd, 7 am, Dennis Keat Soccer Park, 69-400 30th Ave, Cathedral City.

How It Works
You can participate on Team Cathedral City by signing up to track your Walks, steps and other physical activity, nutrition, and more and EARN POINTS for the team! Sync with your fitness device (Fitbit, Garman, Apple Watch, etc.) or track online. Here’s what to do… Log on to wellable.co/UWChallenge. (Note: Type .co, not .com) Read about it, sign up with your team (choose City of Cathedral City from the drop-down) and create an account. You will be prompted to sync with your fitness device, if you choose. I just signed up, and it’s easy (believe me!).

Let’s have some fun with this AND do ourselves a favor towards our own personal wellness. Get a FREE T-SHIRT for signing up with Team Cathedral City!! (Shirts will be available by the Cathedral City Walk on September 2.)
