Learn about Connect Cathedral City and Its Proposed Projects – Video

CCTV Host Conrad Angel Corral interviews City Engineer John Corella and Economic Development Director Stone James about 4 proposed projects that are part of Connect Cathedral City.  These are four alternative transportation projects that will give more access to bike lanes, walking paths, and neighborhood electric vehicles (a.k.a. golf carts).

The plans include adding bike lanes on East Palm Canyon from the city limits with Palm Springs all the way east to Cathedral Canyon Drive.  New sidewalks, bike lanes, and neighborhood electric vehicle paths on Cathedral Canyon Drive from Dinah Shore Drive to the Whitewater Wash that will eventually connect with CV Link.  It also includes sidewalks and bike lanes on Date Palm Drive from the Date Palm Bridge to East Palm Canyon Drive.  Finally, a proposed expanded pathway for walking, biking, and neighborhood electric vehicles from East Palm Canyon Drive to Foothill Drive along the East Cathedral City Channel on its west bank.  This would allow easy access to the hiking trails on the southside of Cathedral City.
