There are pride parades and then there’s the Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race! It’s our pride parade with a little drama and suspense. You have an opportunity to take a blank canvas bed (float on wheels) and decorate it to represent your business, organization, or just a fun theme. Each bed will be judged for best decorated and an opportunity to win $500.
Once the bed floats have been judged for their design, then one-by-one, each beds is raced down Avenida Lalo Guerrero by five team members for the best time. The team with the best time wins 5 new Schwinn bikes!
Registration is only $50 and it comes with t-shirts and a blank bed – you just have to decorate it. The bed race is a hilarious and exciting way to promote your business or organization to the LGBT community who will be standing on the sidelines cheering on the fun!
