Second Episode of “When We Rise” Tonight on the Big Screen at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City – Free Admission
“When We Rise” is an 8-hour miniseries produced and directed in part by Gus Van Sant that airs on ABC over the next three nights, March 1-3 at 9 pm to 11 pm. Not since the miniseries, Roots, has ABC blocked out four nights on Prime Time to air a miniseries. The miniseries chronicles the LGBT movement and to a degree the women’s rights movement in San Francisco starting in 1971 to 2015 focusing on three LGBT civil rights activists, Cleve Jones, Ken Jones and Roma Guy.
You can watch the miniseries at home OR come watch this docudrama together on a large screen at the Mary Pickford Theatre for free in the new luxury seating.
Free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be picked up at the Mary Pickford Theatre Box Office.
