9/11 Art Memorial Unveiling Ceremony Video Now Available

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, the City Council, Cathedral City Public Arts Commission and the Cathedral City Fire Department unveiled a 9/11 Art Memorial commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on our nation.  The art memorial, located at Fire Station 411, honors those who died and the thousands of injured survivors including the brave first responders and all who perished in the World Trade Towers, at the Pentagon, and on United Flight 93 that crashed in rural Pennsylvania.

 

Watch the following video that captured the ceremony from beginning to end that features Mayor Raymond Gregory, Mayor Pro Tem Ernesto Gutierrez, Cathedral City High School Student Mariah Hernandez, Fire Chief John Muhr, Fire Captain and Art Memorial Designer Corey Goddard, as well as, Public Arts Commission Chair DeeAnn Hopings.
