As we head into the latter part of 2024, and in keeping with the City Council’s strategic goal of succession planning and preparing future leaders within our departments, I wanted to make the community aware of three significant promotions that will take effect September 16, 2024, within the police department. Rick Sanchez will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Police Chief. He was previously a Commander. Nate Hanley and Andy Diaz will be promoted to the rank of Commander. They were previously Sergeants. These three individuals have a combined experience of 67 years in the law enforcement profession. I am excited for these three individuals as we proceed into the future. Below, you will find a photograph of everyone promoted as well as a short bio of each of them.
