Celebrate Community and Art This Weekend at Ocotillo Park
Our community is filled with vibrant neighborhoods, making Cathedral City a unique and beautiful place to call home. The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission is excited to invite you to the ribbon-cutting celebration this Saturday for the Ocotillo Park Bench Painting project—a showcase of creativity that has brought new life to one of our cherished public spaces.
Join us as we celebrate the work of twenty-three incredible artists who have transformed twenty-five park benches into captivating works of art. Each bench is painted with an original design, adding a splash of color and character that reflects the spirit of our community. This project is more than just a visual treat; it’s a testament to the power of art in creating connections, celebrating diversity, and making our public spaces more welcoming.
Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a park regular, or simply curious about this community project, we invite you to come and take a self-guided walking tour of Ocotillo Park’s newest open-air gallery. Meet the artists, connect with neighbors, and be part of this moment that celebrates our shared love for Cathedral City and why it is “Where Art Lives.” There will be brief presentations, live music, free paletas, rock painting with one of the artists, and a food truck with food for purchase.
