Bike Rodeo, Hula Hoop Contest and a Free Movie – This Saturday – Downtown Cathedral City

Bring the kids for several fun activities this Saturday, May 19th starting at 6 pm in Downtown Cathedral City’s Festival Lawn, 68-600 East Palm Canyon Drive.  The City of Cathedral City has teamed up with Riverside University Health System, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, California Office of Traffic Safety, and the Cathedral City Evening Rotary for a night of family-friendly fun, including:

 

BIKE RODEO: Riverside University Health Systems – Public Health will host a free Bike Rodeo to teach bike safety skills and will be fitting and distributing 50 free bike helmets to youth on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

BIKE GIVEAWAYS:  Cathedral City and the Office of Traffic Safety will be giving away 6 bikes for kids and other prizes.

 

ART PROJECTS:  S.C.R.A.P. Gallery will host an art project for the kids.

 

MOVIE IN THE PARK: Cathedral City Evening Rotary and the City of Cathedral City will host the last “Movies in the Park” for the 2017-18 Season featuring the classic hit, “Mary Poppins”.  Bring blankets and chairs to enjoy this free movie event on a giant inflatable screen in our Festival Lawn.  The movie will begin at dusk.

 

No RSVP.  Free admission.  Free parking.
