DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, responds to fire, medical emergencies and other emergency and non-emergency situations and takes appropriate action to protect life and property; performs support activities in a field environment and various staff support assignments in addition to normal emergency response activities; performs related work as assigned.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a working level class in fire suppression, having learned and being capable of performing all duties required to effectively respond to emergency fire suppression and advanced life support medical situations.
