Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District Continues Its Mosquito Abatement Operation in Cathedral City

The City of Cathedral City has received the following notice from the CVMVCD:

Due to the continued presence of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in Cathedral City, the District is planning weekly truck-mounted ultra-low volume (ULV) applications between 3 and 6 a.m., weather permitting, in the areas where the invasive mosquitoes have been detected.

The next application is scheduled September 29, 30, and October 1 in the area bordered by Baristo Road, Cathedral Canyon Drive, Ortega Road, and the roads along Cathedral City’s western border. The goal is to lower the mosquito abundance and if possible eliminate the invasive mosquito species from the area.
