DESCRIPTION:The highly anticipated PEREZ ART DISTRICT art walks return on the fourth Friday of every month from 4 to 7 PM beginning in September. The most exciting\, creative enclave in the Coachella Valley\, the district highlights over 50 established\, mid-career\, and emerging artists in their studios and galleries. Dubbed the “SoHo of the desert\,” the district’s high-quality art attracts collectors and art enthusiasts from around the world. Every month\, on 4th Fridays @4:00 visit the district for a festive art walk which is free and open to the public. Many studios are also open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. year-round. DESCRIPTION:The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission is proud to present its second Quarterly Art Exhibit of 2025\, featuring works from talented local artists throughout the Coachella Valley. \nThe exhibit will be held on Saturday and Sunday\, May 24-25\, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Cathedral City Public Library (33520 Date Palm Drive). This free event offers residents and visitors an opportunity to experience diverse artistic expressions from our desert community. \nSeven selected artists will display their works in various mediums\, with pieces available for purchase directly from the creators. This event continues the Public Arts Commission’s mission to promote local talent and make art accessible to everyone. \n“These quarterly exhibits provide a wonderful platform for local artists to showcase their creativity while connecting with the community\,” said Ryan Hunt\, Communications & Events Manager for Cathedral City. “We’re excited to continue this tradition throughout 2025.” \nThe library setting offers a comfortable and accessible environment for art enthusiasts of all ages to engage with local talent. While the May exhibit is just weeks away\, artists interested in participating in future exhibits should note the upcoming dates: \n\nAugust 23-24\, 2025 (Application deadline: July 15\, 2025)\nNovember 15-16\, 2025 (Application deadline: October 15\, 2025)\n\nArtists residing in Cathedral City will receive preference in the selection process\, though all Coachella Valley artists are encouraged to apply. DESCRIPTION:Join S.C.R.A.P. Gallery in their Sustainable Community Series on May 7th from 5-7pm and on May 24th from 4-5:30pm at the Cathedral City Public Library where kids can craft and learn at several activity stations: Build a Bird’s Nest – It’s a Blue Planet – Earth Day is Every Day.  This event is made possible by the generous support of Anderson Children’s Foundation. \nS.C.R.A.P. Gallery’s mission is to actively engage youth as stewards of their environment through a concentrated\, hands-on\, educational effort to build a creative culture of sustainability in our schools and community. They are committed to working to create a more just\, equitable\, and sustainable future for people and the planet. S.C.R.A.P. links industry\, education\, the arts\, and the environment. Its programs feature environmental presentations\, exhibits\, workshops\, and interactive lessons – using reused and recycled materials from the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery Warehouse\, directly diverting materials from the landfill.
