DESCRIPTION:Every two seconds\, someone needs blood. Here in the Coachella Valley\, especially in the summer months\, we experience a local blood shortage and an increase need for residents to donate blood.  Our current blood supply is critically low and surgeries may need to be canceled due to a lack of donated blood. \n  \nThanks to Northgate Community Church in Cathedral City\, you can donate blood to save a life during four upcoming blood drives: \n\nFriday\, September 18\, 8 am to 1 pm\nWednesday\, October 14\, 8 am to 1 pm\nWednesday\, November 11\, 8 am to 1 pm\nWednesday\, December 9\, 8 am to 1 pm\n\n  \nNorthgate Community Church is located at the corner of 30th Avenue and Date Palm Drive. \n  \nDonors can begin signing up now for the September 18th blood drive at: \nhttps://giftoflife.lstream.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/89990. \n  \nLifeStream has served the Inland Empire and surrounding areas since 1951 providing lifesaving blood products and services to more than 80 Southern California hospitals and medical facilities. DESCRIPTION:As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread in the community\, it is necessary to conduct this month’s “City Hall at Your Corner” – virtually.  Please Join Councilmembers Ernesto Gutierrez and Rita Lamb for an informal discussion of issues of importance in Cathedral City. \n  \nThis virtual event will take place on Monday\, September 28\, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Zoom.us.  You must register for the event in advance at .  After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting on the day of the event. \n  \nIf you are planning to use a smartphone or tablet\, it may be beneficial to download the Zoom app in advance and sign-up for an account.  Remember to lower the volume of your audio speakers if you ask a question to the councilmembers to avoid audio feedback. \n  \n“City Hall at Your Corner” is scheduled once a month and at different times of the day to make it accessible to a variety of schedules.  It is your opportunity to share your ideas\, let the council know your concerns\, and hear the latest news.
