DESCRIPTION:Join Mayor Pro Tem Nancy Ross\, Councilmember Rita Lamb\, and the Cathedral City Fire Department for an Emergency Preparedness – Grab & Go Event from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday\, June 1\, 2024\, at the Cathedral City Library\, Multi-Purpose Room\, 33520 Date Palm Drive\, Cathedral City. \nThis event will provide information on how to respond to an emergency\, such as an earthquake\, and what items you will need in your preparedness kit during and after an emergency. \nEach household will learn how to make their own emergency kits and why each item was selected for the kit. \nFree emergency kits will be available while supplies last to Cathedral City households that attend thanks in part to our sponsors Target\, Lowe’s and Home Depot. \nFor more information\, please contact Cathedral City Fire Chief Michael Contreras at (760) 770-8200.
