Public Works Director John Corella will serve as master of ceremonies\, with special remarks from Mayor Nancy Ross\, District Representative Councilmember Ernesto Gutierrez\, Felipe Ortiz (Field Representative for Assemblymember Greg Wallis)\, and a representative from the Desert Recreation District. Located in the historic Dream Homes neighborhood\, this beautiful new 7.5-acre park features children’s play areas\, shaded picnic spaces\, fitness equipment\, sports fields\, basketball courts\, dog parks\, and more. \nThe ceremony will mark the culmination of a community-driven project years in the making\, bringing vital recreational space to a previously underserved neighborhood. “Esperanza” means hope in Spanish\, reflecting the community’s vision for this vibrant new gathering space. \nThis free event is open to the public.
