First Friday Art Walk Season in Cathedral City Kicks off Oct. 7, 2022, Free to the Public

First Friday Art Walk, a free art experience in Cathedral City, opens for the season on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, in the Perez Road Art District.

This self-guided tour meanders down the street where 15 artists work in their studios. Perez Road Art District offers the public a view into the artists creative process. Unlike other gallery districts, Perez Road is a collection of working artists’ studios.

Studios are located at 68845 and 68895 Perez Road, Building H and Building I. Look for the Black Art District sign on the corner. According to Kim Manfredi, the owner of the studio, parking is plentiful, and residents and visitors can easily walk from one end to the other.

Manfredi, who moved to the Palm Springs area in 2016, has exhibited at various venues in the Coachella Valley and is a founder of the Desert Open Studios Tour.

The season continues every first Friday through June when the summer heat kicks in. Perez Road artists want to share the wide range of artistic practices in the valley and showcase the variety of creative processes involved in producing paintings, sculptures, mixed media, photography, and ceramics.

This tour is free, making it accessible to all economic brackets of the public. Please visit www.kimmanfredi.com to learn more.
