Grading to Begin in 30 Days on 1.5 Million Square Foot Cannabis Cultivation Center

Just north of Interstate 10 and south of Varner Road, grading will begin within 30 days on the new 1.5 million square foot Glass House Pharms cannabis cultivation center. To put in perspective the size of this project, the Sunniva cultivation center on Ramon Road that is currently under construction and soon to be completed in early 2020 is 350,000 square feet.

The first phase of the project will consist of 3 cannabis cultivation buildings, an administrative office building, a processing center, and security guard house. Not only will this facility provide a large number of jobs with good pay, it will provide more than $15 million annually in tax revenue for city services such as police, fire, ambulance, parks, roads and streets.

As with new construction for cannabis projects, the design offers tightly sealed buildings built for effective odor and pest control. The HVAC system will have a negative pressure system to minimize external odor release whenever a door opens. And, Glass House Pharms will utilize air atomization or misting fans that release odor neutralizing agents for maximum odor control.
