Ofelia Bringas Memorial Bridge to Partially Open on Friday Afternoon

On Friday, December 3, 2021, the east side portion of the Ofelia Bringas Memorial Bridge that spans the Whitewater River Basin on Cathedral Canyon Drive will open to allow both lanes of traffic (northbound and southbound) to cross the river basin.  This will shift traffic that has been using a temporary bypass road to the new, partially built bridge.   Work to shift the traffic will begin as early as 2:00 am on Friday and scheduled to be completed by 4:00 pm.

Drivers are urged to continue to drive slowly and use caution in the area.  Construction on the bridge will continue on the west side until it is completed in late spring 2022.
