Three “Sordid Lives” Celebrities Coming for Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race

Three “Sordid Lives” Celebrities Coming for Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race

Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race happens on Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 am in Downtown Cathedral City in front of City Hall. The Bed Race is our Pride Parade with a little drama and suspense. This year, the bed race will have a new “sordid” ingredient – as three celebrities from the “Sordid Lives” movie and series will be our celebrity bed race riders. They include Anne Walker who played LaVonda DuPree, Kirk Geiger who played Ty Williamson, and Del Shores who wrote and directed “Sordid Lives”.

Beyond the celebrities, come cheer on the Cathedral City’s Fire Department and Police Department as they prepare for a possible rematch for the race’s “fastest time” category. Or come find out if the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will reclaim their title as “Best Decorated.”

Later that evening at the Mary Pickford Theatre, Del Shores will perform his new one-man show, “Six Characters in Search of a Play,” directed by Emerson Collins. In “Six Characters in Search of a Play,” Shores is inspired by Pirandello’s classic play to bring you six characters inspired by his real-life encounters that haven’t quite made it into one of Shores’ plays, films or TV shows. Tickets are selling quickly, so do not delay!
