Two New Murals by Mother Earth’s Farmacy Adds More Art to Our Downtown

Adding art murals to our downtown and commercial zones has been a goal of the Cathedral City Public Arts Commission and the City Council.  Last October, Mural Artist Rick Rodriguez finished a Local Legacy Mural of World Boxing Champion Tim Bradley and Mixed Martial Arts and Ultimate Fighting Championship Competitor Kevin Luke “Cub” Swanson outside of One Eleven Conditioning Club, 68571 E. Palm Canyon Drive in Cathedral City. The bold mural faces Highway 111.

In February, the Public Arts Commission and the Mary Pickford Theatre teamed up together to bring International Street Artist Kelsey Montague to the Cathedral City to paint an interactive mural near the entrance of the theater in homage to the Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival and Hollywood films.  The mural provides the public with a fun opportunity to photograph themselves and share with their friends via social media.

Just last week, Mother Earth’s Farmacy, located at 36633 Cathedral Canyon Drive, finished two murals on its property to add to art in our commercial zones.  You can see these works of art as you drive by or stop in.

Yes, Cathedral City is Where Art Lives!
