According to the National Fire Protection Agency, an average of 1,450 fire deaths occur every year in homes with missing or non-functioning smoke alarms.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY SMOKE ALARM GOES OFF?
  • Crawl low to the ground under the smoke and exit your home quickly.
  • Don’t try to take anything with you; just get out.
  • Once safely outside, go to your family meeting place to ensure everyone got out safely.
  • Call 9-1-1.
