Commission Selects Cathedral City Mayor Raymond Gregory as Chair of RCTC for 2026

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) has unanimously appointed Raymond Gregory, Mayor of Cathedral City, as Chair for the Commission for 2026. Mayor Gregory has served on the RCTC Commission since 2019.

“As a Commissioner representing the Coachella Valley, I am honored and excited to serve as the Chair of RCTC in 2026,” said Chair Gregory. “This will be an exciting year as we kick off several projects to improve transportation in Riverside County, including the next phase of the Coachella Valley Rail Project, construction of the Mid County Parkway Ramona Expressway, and flipping the switch on the I-15 Smart Freeway Pilot Project in Temecula. I look forward to improving travel both locally and regionally, working alongside my fellow Commissioners on projects that benefit the entire region.”

The Commission also selected City of Canyon Lake Mayor Jeremy Smith as Vice-Chair and Riverside County Board of Supervisor, District 3, Chuck Washington as Second Vice-Chair.
