The Cathedral City High School Pool Is Now Open for Summer 2026!

The wait is over — the Cathedral City High School pool is open and ready to welcome residents looking to cool off and stay active this summer. Dive in today and beat the desert heat!

This season also marks an exciting new chapter for aquatics in the community, as Cathedral City is now officially partnering with the Desert Recreation District (DRD) — bringing expanded recreation programming and aquatics expertise directly to local families. The pool program continues thanks to the ongoing partnership with the Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD), which makes the Cathedral City High School facility available to the community.

DRD is providing swimming lessons, open swim, and fitness swim at the Cathedral City High School pool — a huge, Olympic-sized facility — giving residents of all ages a place to learn, exercise, and have fun all summer long.

Splash into Summer at the Splash Bash — Friday, June 12

Cathedral City and DRD are kicking off the season with Splash Bash, a free family event on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Dennis Keat Soccer Park, 69-400 30th Ave, Cathedral City, CA 92234.

The celebration will feature giant water slides, water games, music, free popcorn and ice pops, and plenty of fun activities to help everyone kick off summer. The Cathedral City Fire Department will also be on hand with their fire engine. It’s a great opportunity for families to get outside, have fun, and connect with the community.
