Come celebrate Earth Day with us!
Earth Day is about celebrating the beauty of our world and doing our part in keeping our planet healthy. Walking, biking or using public transit can be a great way to do our part and reduce air pollution. Come learn more about what the City is working on to improve walking and biking in Cathedral City and give us feedback on what improvements should be part of the Active Transportation Plan.
We will be set up at Century park from 8:30am – 11:30am. Different activities, including a remote-control traffic calming course will be set up for all to try!
Join us to be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a free bicycle!
What is the Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan?
The City of Cathedral City is currently preparing the city’s first active transportation plan. The plan is intended to look at existing infrastructure and travel habits of the community to identify strategies, actions, and treatments that will create an environment that is safer and more comfortable for walking, biking, and living an active lifestyle. Recommendations will be designed to ensure that all roadway users, including the most vulnerable such as children, older adults, and those with limited mobility, have safe transportation options to travel however they need and want.
Additional information about the Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan, the planning process, and project timeline can be found on the attached fact sheet.
