Cathedral City – Can You Help a Local Clerk and Animal Rescuer during Her Recovery from a Senseless Act of Violence?

Cathedral City – Can You Help a Local Clerk and Animal Rescuer during Her Recovery from a Senseless Act of Violence?

This past week, a clerk at the Pony Express Western Outfitters store in Cathedral City was brutally attacked in an attempted robbery. According to KMIR news, Ms. Janis Coble (Christian) grew up in the Coachella Valley on the “Lazy C Ranch, was a rodeo queen and Bob Hope Classic Girl. She dedicated her life to animal rescue and got the job at the Pony Express after falling on hard times to keep her rescue ranch going.”

KMIR reports that the family now hopes the community rescues her during her time of need.

“Please help my sister Janis, it’s all I can say and there’s a lot of people in this community that know Janis that would be very grateful,” says Kodi through tears.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for her medical expenses and feed her rescue animals. Click here to donate: https://www.gofundme.com/janice-christians-recovery-fund-2v2ueys

Cathedral City Police Department reports that alleged person of interest in her attack has been arrested and is in custody.

Pony Express is reopening on Friday and all weekend long 100 percent of the sales will benefit Janis Coble’s medical and rescue funds.
