Cathedral City Crews Prepare for Rain as Flood Watch Takes Effect for the Coachella Valley

Cathedral City Public Works and Cathedral City Fire & EMS are preparing for rain this weekend as the remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel move into Southern California. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Coachella Valley, including Cathedral City, from 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, through 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026.
