Cathedral City Public Arts Commission – Call for Artists

The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission is seeking established artists of Latin/Hispanic heritage in the Coachella Valley who would like to exhibit their works in the Cathedral City Cultural Arts Museum. Specifically, the Commission is looking for paintings (any medium) and small three-dimensional art pieces representing the culture, history and style of the Latin/Hispanic people in the Americas.

The “Call for Artists” pieces that are chosen will be exhibited in the Cultural Arts Museum from September 14, 2017 to October 15, 2017. There is no fee to participate.

If interested, please send an email that includes:

· two or three photos representing the style of your art work
· the sizes of the art work, medium and any special requirements for hanging or placement
· a brief biography indicating any current or past exhibitions of your work

Please feel free to pass this notice along to other artists you may know. The commission seeks a total of 10 to 15 artists for this exhibit. Priority will be given to Cathedral City residents but all artists are encouraged to apply.
