CDC Updates Common Symptoms of COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control recently updated the symptoms of COVID-19 as they may range from mild to severe.  Additionally, the following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms or combinations of symptoms may have COVID-19:

 

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

 

Or at least two of these symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

 

If you believe you might have been exposed to or have symptoms of COVID-19, contact your healthcare provider.  You may also call (800) 945-6171 for an appointment to be tested by Riverside County Public Health System.
