Community Survey Released as Part of Cathedral City’s Five-Year Strategic Planning Process

On June 22, 2022, City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc (MIG) to provide facilitation services for preparation of the City of Cathedral City’s 5 Year Strategic Plan.

MIG is also working with the City Manager’s office to design meetings and workshops with City Council and city staff to capture community and organizational information and knowledge important to the strategic planning effort.

Under direction and through consultation with the City Manager’s Office, MIG continues to design and facilitate a collaborative and inclusive visioning and goal setting process which will include input from the City Council, the City’s Executive Management Team, and the community for development of the 5 Year Strategic Plan.

As part of MIG’s work on the 5 Year Strategic Plan, a community survey was unveiled at the Special City Council Meeting Strategic Planning Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin, Metz & Associates (FM3) performed a Community Survey in support of development of the City’s 5 Year Strategic Plan. The survey slides are included below.

Three focus groups were conducted over the course of two evenings, Dec. 5-6, 2022. They consisted of three specific subsets of Cathedral City residents:

  • Seniors
  • Spanish speaking as primary household language
  • Residents from the Mideast area of Cathedral City (area roughly bounded by Dinah Shore, Landau, 30th, and Date Palm Drive)
