Join the Cathedral City Parks & Community Events Commission and Desert Recreation District for a fun, family-friendly morning focused on movement, wellness, and community! Enjoy a variety of bilingual and family fitness activities led by local instructors.

Workout Schedule:

• 9:00 AM – Bilingual Workout with Jaime Jimenez (111 Conditioning Club)
• 9:30 AM – Bilingual Mat Pilates with Ren Fortuna Gutierrez (Sol Barre)
• 10:00 AM – Bilingual Dance Cardio with VXN Fitness
• 10:30 AM – Workout (English) with Kai Beech (Orangetheory Fitness & NBC Palm Springs)
• 11:00 AM – Family Yoga with Carl Grant (Power Yoga Palm Springs)
• 11:30 AM – Sound Bath
• 12:00 – 12:30 PM – Connect & Reflect with Community Tables

In addition to the fitness classes, the DRD team will host a variety of spring-themed family fitness games and activities to theme it with it being Easter weekend designed to encourage movement, teamwork, and fun for kids and families of all ages.

Featured Kids Activities

• Egg & Spoon Fitness Relay
  Participants balance a plastic egg on a spoon while walking or jogging to a turnaround point and back, completing quick exercises like squats or jumping jacks along the way.
• Spring Obstacle Course
  A fun movement course with hula hoop jumps, cone zig-zags, crawl spaces, and balance challenges to promote agility and coordination.
• Bunny Hop Relay
  A sack-race style relay where participants hop like bunnies to the finish line, encouraging balance and friendly competition.
• Flower Power Freeze Dance
  Kids dance to upbeat music and freeze like statues when the music stops.
• Golden Egg Fitness Hunt
  A scavenger hunt for hidden eggs, each containing a short fitness challenge such as jumping jacks or high knees.
• Bubble Movement Zone
  A sensory-friendly space where younger children can chase and pop bubbles while staying active.
