Lalo Guerrero, known as the “Father of Chicano Music” was a composer, musician, and singer and won many awards including the “National Medal of the Arts”. Guerrero lived in Cathedral City for almost 30 years and was honored with a bronze sculpture in front of Cathedral City Hall.
