Planet Fitness Coming to Cathedral City
The Cathedral City Economic Development Department proudly announces that Planet Fitness is coming to Cathedral City with a state-of-the-art, 20,000 square foot fitness facility. The new business will be located near the corner of Date Palm Drive and Dinah Shore Drive in the Cathedral City Marketplace shopping center currently anchored by Food 4 Less and Regency Theater. It is scheduled to open at the end of 2017.
This will be the largest Planet Fitness facility in the Coachella Valley and one of 1,300 locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Black card members of Planet Fitness are able to frequent all locations without an additional charge.
The economic development department has been working with the new shopping center owners to bring new businesses to this area of Cathedral City. Negotiations continue with other businesses for the shopping center and we expect to make further announcements in the near future.
Planet Fitness will be the second fitness center in the past few years to call Cathedral City home and help our residents get active and live a healthy lifestyle.
