Riverside County Remains in the Red Tier for COVID-19 Reopening

The state announced today that Riverside County will remain in the “Red – Substantial” tier.  Please know the Red Tier means that the coronavirus is still substantial for community spread and everyone should continue doing your part to wear a face covering and social distance between you and others outside of your household.  To find the latest information and/or other categories not listed, go to the Governor’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy at www.COVID19.CA.GOV.

In the Red Tier, the following applies:

  • Bars that serve food can open with 25% capacity or 100 people whichever is fewer
  • Bars that do not serve food must remain closed.
  • Bookstores – open with 50% capacity
  • Clothing and shoe stores – open with 50% capacity
  • Concert venues – closed
  • Convention Centers – closed
  • Cultural ceremonies, Churches – open with 25% capacity or 100 people whichever is fewer
  • Dance studios – open with 10% capacity
  • Family Entertainment Centers (Kart racing, batting cages, mini-golf) – open outdoors only
  • Farmers markets – open
  • Festivals – closed
  • Grocery stores – open with 50% capacity
  • Gyms and fitness centers – open with 10% capacity
  • Hair salons, barbershops and nail salons – open with modifications
  • Home and furnishing stores – open with 50% capacity
  • Hospitals and urgent care – open with modifications
  • Hotels and lodging – open with modifications
  • Indoor playgrounds – closed
  • Libraries – open with 50% capacity
  • Live theater – closed
  • Massage therapy – open with modifications
  • Movie theaters – open with 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer
  • Museums – open with 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer
  • Nightclubs – closed
  • Offices (non-essential businesses) – work remotely
  • Pet groomers – open with modifications
  • Professional Sports – open without live audiences
  • Restaurants – open with 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer
  • Retailers – open with 50% capacity
  • Saunas and steam rooms – closed
  • Shopping malls – open with 50% capacity, reduced capacity for food courts, close common areas
  • Swimming pools – open outdoors with modifications
  • Theme parks – closed
  • Weddings – open with 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer
  • Zoos – 25% capacity for indoor spaces.
