Sarah Clapp Appointed to the Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission
On Wednesday, the City Council unanimously appointed Ms. Sarah Clapp to the Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission. Commissioner Clapp filled a vacancy left when former commissioner Arianna Menon resigned several weeks ago due to a family relocation. Five very qualified residents submitted an application for the appointment and three interviewed before the Council for the position.
There were several reasons for Ms. Clapp’s appointment including she has lived in Cathedral City for more than 12 years and in the Coachella Valley for more than 50 years, her 26 years of service in the non-profit industry, and experience in all aspects of event promotions. Commissioner Clapp welcomed the opportunity to serve on the commission and will join her 6 fellow commissioners at the next scheduled meeting in July.
