SAVE THE DATES: Mark Your Calendars for Cathedral City’s 2023 Fall Events Season!

The warmer weather is upon us, but don’t forget to mark your calendars for our upcoming city-sponsored fall events season in 2023!

Many Downtown events will utilize the award-winning Cathedral City Community Amphitheater. The venue is located 68526 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, at the corner of Cathedral Canyon Drive and Avenida Lalo Guerrero within the civic center complex and adjacent to the Downtown Parking Structure.

Halloween Spooktacular – Oct. 29, 2023

The City of Cathedral City’s annual Halloween Spooktacular features trick or treating with more than 50,000 pieces of candy! This year’s event will once again take place at Cathedral City Civic Center Plaza, 68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023.

Join friends, neighbors, and family for a Spooktacular time including activities such as Halloween costume contests (two bikes given away each hour), exhibitions by Cathedral City Police and Cathedral City Fire, music, and family games. This year’s event will also feature special performances by Cathedral City High School’s Ballet Folklorico group.

Sponsored Banner Program – Year Round

For the last 6 years, the City of Cathedral City has implemented a Sponsored Banner Program in the Downtown Corridor.

Beginning on November 1, 2023, Downtown Cathedral City will transform into a spectacular art-scape of brightly colored banners promoting the City of Cathedral City. The banners will remain up through October 31, 2024 (one year). As a business, you have an opportunity to help promote your business as well as Cathedral City by sponsoring a two-sided banner along East Palm Canyon Drive.

Cathedral City International Hot Air Balloon Festival – Nov. 17-19, 2023

Agua Caliente Casinos, the award-winning premier destination for entertainment in the Coachella Valley, is proud to present the 9th Annual Cathedral City International Hot Air Balloon Festival & Food Truck Fiesta, taking place on Friday, November 17 – Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Cathedral City. The official kick-off begins with the balloon launch from Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage on Friday, November 17 at sunrise. The Food Truck Fiesta takes place Friday evening and the following, Saturday, November 18, at the Cathedral City Amphitheater. The fiesta will feature a dozen food truck vendors from all over Southern California, a beer garden, tethered balloon rides, a car show, kid zones, live music, and more.

North Pole Village at SnowFest – Dec. 9, 2023

Snow-Fest, scheduled from 1-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, captures all the holiday spirit and places it at one event with holiday music, Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday tree lighting ceremony, food, and a free movie at the Mary Pickford Theatre. “North Pole Village” comes to life in front of City Hall – all lit with holiday lights. It is the ultimate backdrop for family holiday pictures and social media selfies. The “North Pole Village” features twenty holiday-themed storefronts. Free admission and free parking are available.
