STVRs Must Cease Operations Except for Critical Infrastructure Support

The State of California Department of Public Health has issued a Regional Stay At Home Order which shall be in place for a minimum of three weeks as of December 6, 2020 at 11:59 pm.

Under this Order, and because adult ICU bed capacity in our Region is less than 15%, hotels and lodging operations (including vacation rentals) must cease, except for critical infrastructure support.

Critical Infrastructure Support: https://covid19.ca.gov/essential-workforce/

Further, except as otherwise required by law, no hotel or lodging entity in California shall accept or honor out of state reservations for non-essential travel, unless the reservation is for at least the minimum time period required for quarantine and the persons identified in the reservation will quarantine in the hotel or lodging entity until after that time period has expired.

Therefore, the City advises owners, operators and managers to cease operations in accordance with the Order.

Violations of the Order may result in fines, criminal violations and/or revocation of City permits or licenses.  If you have any questions, please contact the City at stvrprogram@cathedralcity.gov.
