The First Section of the CV Link under Construction in Cathedral City
Construction crews are busy laying the cement for the very first section of the CV Link located in Cathedral City. We are the trendsetters and pioneers for this 2.2-mile section that will run from Ramon Road to Vista Chino along the west banks of the Whitewater River Basin. It will be utilized by bicyclists, walkers, joggers, and neighborhood electric vehicles (N.E.V.s).
Once the concrete is completed, then construction will begin on the amenities such as shade structures, water fountains, benches, and decomposed granite footpaths. The entire section is slated to be completed and opened in November.
You will discover, being on this section of the new CV Link, some of the most amazing views of the Valley, mountains, and the Whitewater River Basin. It feels like you are elevated above the ground and surrounded in open space, even though you are in the heart of a metropolitan area. Stay tuned for grand opening announcements later this fall.
