The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) wishes to inform the community about emergency traffic signal repairs scheduled for Friday, March 13, 2026, within the City of Cathedral City.
Crosstown Electric, Inc., contracted by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG), will conduct emergency repairs at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Officer Jermaine Gibson Avenue.
What to Expect
Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and traffic delays at this intersection. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place. At times, traffic signals may be placed in flashing red mode during equipment installation — drivers should treat flashing red signals as a four-way stop.
The repair will take place during normal construction hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The City of Cathedral City, the Coachella Valley Association of Governments, and Crosstown Electric, Inc. will minimize inconvenience to residents and businesses. The City appreciates your cooperation and patience during these emergency repairs.
