Drivers in the area of Monty Hall Drive and East Palm Canyon Drive should plan ahead next week as the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians’ contractor performs underground electrical work related to the tribe’s new fueling station currently under construction.
Beginning Monday, April 7, 2026, the northbound lane of Monty Hall Drive will be closed at East Palm Canyon Drive. The closure is expected to remain in effect through the end of day Saturday, April 11, pending a Southern California Edison inspection scheduled for Thursday, April 9.
What to Expect
J.H. Thompson & Sons, Inc., the tribe’s contractor, will be trenching across Monty Hall Drive from west to east to install underground electrical lines as part of the fueling station project.
During the closure:
- The northbound lane of Monty Hall Drive will be closed at East Palm Canyon Drive
- Monty Hall Drive will remain open southbound from the parking area near The Roost / Brunch 101 to East Palm Canyon Drive
- The intersection of Buddy Rogers Avenue and Monty Hall Drive will remain open
- Access to private property will be maintained throughout the duration of work
Residents and visitors traveling northbound on Monty Hall Drive should use East Palm Canyon Drive (Highway 111) as an alternate route and allow additional travel time.
