Bed Racers Compete at the 6th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days

As part of the weekend activities, thousands of spectators came to Downtown Cathedral City on Sunday morning to watch the 6th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race and Parade in front of City Hall.  City, non-profit, and business groups competed for a variety of prizes and trophies including the coveted fastest time trophy.  Hosted by Bella da Ball and KGAY 106.5’s Morning DJ John Taylor , the category bed race winners were:

 

  • Fastest Time: Cathedral City Fire Department
  • 2nd Fastest Time: Andrew Christian
  • Best Theme: Cathedral City Senior Center (Forever Young)
  • Most Spirited: Andrew Christian
  • Best Decorated: Cathedral City Senior Center
  • 2nd Best Decorated: Public House Restaurant (Temecula)
  • 3rd Best Decorated: (Tie) Cathedral City Fire Department / Cathedral City Police Department

 

The organizers would like to thank our panel of judges including Mayor Pro Tem Rita Lamb, Councilmembers Mark Carnevale, Nancy Ross, Raymond Gregory and Community Representatives Patsi and Eric Davis.
