C.O.D. Alumni Association Street Fair and Annual Holiday Tree Lighting – This Wednesday Evening in Downtown Cathedral City
You read correctly, the popular “Street Fair” on the main campus of College of the Desert is coming to Downtown Cathedral City on the first Wednesday of each month, starting this Wednesday, December 2nd from 4 pm to 9 pm. Called “West Valley Wednesdays,” the Street Fair will provide many of the great selections as the main campus Street Fair including food vendors, art, outdoor furniture, clothing, home goods, and accessories. Best of all, abundant free parking is just steps away from the Street Fair located on Avenida Lalo Guerrero in front of City Hall.
The City of Cathedral City will also light its holiday tree during the Street Fair to the sounds of the Cathedral City High School Choir starting at 6 pm. Shortly thereafter, Santa will arrive on a horse and carriage thanks to Desert Family Medical Center. Santa will also offer children an opportunity to inform him of their holiday wishes. In addition, light refreshments including hot chocolate and cookies will be provided while supplies last courtesy of D&D Carpet and Bontá Restaurant.
Look for the City Information Booth where up to 200 passes will be given out to ice skate for free at Desert Ice Castle from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm for those aged 3 years and up. You can also enter a free raffle to win a Schwinn 700c bicycle every hour starting at 6 pm to 9 pm, four bicycles will be given away that night.
