Cathedral City Launches Community Center Feasibility Study – Your Voice Matters!

The City of Cathedral City is embarking on an exciting new chapter in community development with the launch of its comprehensive Community Center Feasibility Study. Thanks to funding from Measure W, city officials are taking the first crucial steps toward determining the best location and design for a brand-new community center that will serve residents for generations to come.

What Is the Community Center Feasibility Study?

This groundbreaking study represents Cathedral City’s commitment to creating a community hub that truly reflects the needs and desires of its residents. The feasibility study will evaluate potential sites throughout the city, assess community needs, and develop recommendations for a center that responds directly to what residents want to see in their neighborhood.

The process is designed to be inclusive and comprehensive, blending input from residents, local stakeholders, and agency partners to ensure the final community center serves everyone effectively. By December 2025, the study will be complete, providing city leaders with a clear roadmap for moving forward with this important project.

How You Can Get Involved

Cathedral City residents have multiple opportunities to shape the future of their community center. The city has launched a bilingual survey that allows residents to share their thoughts, preferences, and ideas about what they’d like to see in a new community facility.

Take the Survey: Visit surveyhero.com/c/cathedralcitycommunitycenter to complete the community input survey. The survey is available in both English and Spanish, ensuring all residents can participate in this important planning process.

Stay Connected

The City of Cathedral City will be promoting community participation through regular social media outreach throughout the study period. Residents are encouraged to follow the city’s social media channels and visit CathedralCity.gov for the latest updates on the feasibility study’s progress.

This community center represents more than just a building – it’s an investment in Cathedral City’s future, a place where neighbors will gather, children will learn and play, and the community will come together to celebrate what makes this city special.
