Cathedral City residents, members of the Cathedral City Evening Rotary Club, KMIR’s Manny the Movie Guy and about 15 dogs celebrated the new Cathedral City Dog Park this morning.
Live on KMIR – NBC news this morning, Manny the Movie Guy introduced the Coachella Valley to the latest dog park located adjacent to Second Street Park in Cathedral City’s downtown area. This “green bark park” utilizes recycled products such as ground-up palm tree fronds for the groundcover, recycled plastics for its park benches, and recycled tennis balls donated by local tennis clubs for play.
The Cathedral City Dog Park is a collaborative effort between the City Council and the Cathedral City Evening Rotary Club which will maintain the park. The venue has two sides, one for big dogs and the other for small dogs. Both sides are spacious with plenty of room for dogs to run, play ball or catch a Frisbee. So, join your neighbors and their dogs, everyday between dawn and dusk, at this wonderful new park.
