CONE ZONE ALERT: Pavement Rehabilitation on East Palm Canyon Drive

The City of Cathedral City wishes to inform residents, visitors, and members of the media about upcoming night work for the East Palm Canyon Pavement Rehabilitation Project.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 & 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒:

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟔𝐭𝐡:

8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Monday)

  • WHAT: Grinding 2 inches of asphalt
  • IMPACT: Traffic control will be in place in both directions on East Palm Canyon Drive between Perez Road and west of Canyon Plaza (Target center)
  • All lanes will reopen Monday morning by 5:00 AM

𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟕𝐭𝐡:

  • Daytime: All lanes open to traffic
  • 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Tuesday)
  • WHAT: Cap paving in both directions
  • IMPACT: Traffic control will be in place in both directions
  • All lanes will reopen Tuesday morning by 5:00 AM

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗𝐭𝐡 & 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡:

  • WHAT: Limited lane closures to raise valves and manholes
  • IMPACT: Some lane restrictions, but traffic will flow in both directions
  • Following completion, all lanes will be open with only striping work to be completed

East Palm Canyon Drive between Perez Road and Canyon Plaza (Target center)

𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑:

  • Reduce your speed in the Cone Zone
  • Watch for workers and equipment
  • Allow extra travel time through the area
  • Consider using alternate routes
