The City of Cathedral City wishes to inform residents, visitors, and members of the media about upcoming night work for the East Palm Canyon Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 & 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒:
𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟔𝐭𝐡:
8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Monday)
- WHAT: Grinding 2 inches of asphalt
- IMPACT: Traffic control will be in place in both directions on East Palm Canyon Drive between Perez Road and west of Canyon Plaza (Target center)
- All lanes will reopen Monday morning by 5:00 AM
𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟕𝐭𝐡:
- Daytime: All lanes open to traffic
- 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Tuesday)
- WHAT: Cap paving in both directions
- IMPACT: Traffic control will be in place in both directions
- All lanes will reopen Tuesday morning by 5:00 AM
𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗𝐭𝐡 & 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡:
- WHAT: Limited lane closures to raise valves and manholes
- IMPACT: Some lane restrictions, but traffic will flow in both directions
- Following completion, all lanes will be open with only striping work to be completed

- Reduce your speed in the Cone Zone
- Watch for workers and equipment
- Allow extra travel time through the area
- Consider using alternate routes
