Earth Day 2025: Celebrating S.C.R.A.P. Gallery’s Environmental Mission

Happy Earth Day, Cathedral City! Today, we celebrate our planet and the local organizations making a difference, like the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery (Student Creative Recycle Art Program).

Located at 68743 Perez Road in Cathedral City, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery works with students of all ages to provide environmental education through creative approaches. Their mission is to actively engage youth as stewards of their environment through hands-on educational efforts that build a culture of sustainability in our schools and community.

S.C.R.A.P. Gallery brings together industry, education, the arts, and the environment through innovative programs featuring environmental presentations, exhibits, workshops, and interactive lessons. These programs use reused and recycled materials from their warehouse, directly diverting materials from our landfills and waterways.

As their newsletter reminds us: “The state of the world is entirely in our hands. Our hands can create, care for, and make a better place for all – for the fish, the trees, the people, and the bees.”

This Earth Day, consider how you might support S.C.R.A.P. Gallery’s important work. Whether through volunteering, donations, or simply spreading the word about their environmental initiatives, every action helps create a more just, equitable, and sustainable future for our planet.
