Cannabis Odor Virtual Town Hall
The City of Cathedral City is hosting a Cannabis Odor Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5 to 6 p.m. via Zoom — and we want to hear from you.
City Manager Andrew Firestine will open the session with an update on the City’s enforcement efforts and the actions taken under the new cannabis ordinance, including progress on odor control plan compliance. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A moderated by Communications & Events Manager Ryan Hunt. Code Compliance Manager Justin Gardiner will be on hand to discuss what the City has done since the adoption of the ordinance to maintain oversight of cannabis businesses and enforce the City’s regulations. SCS Engineers, the City’s consultant who supported the development of the odor control permitting process and continues to review odor control plans, will also be available for questions.
Whether you’ve had concerns about cannabis odors in your neighborhood or simply want to understand what the new ordinance means for Cathedral City, this is your chance to get answers directly from City leadership.
